Meet Ginger

I ran as a Democrat to restore common sense and integrity to Arizona’s Congressional District 1.

As a native Arizonan, a wife, mother of three, and a small business owner -- I know what it’s like to live in the wonderful district we call home. I am tired of extremism and partisan politics. I want our government to work for our community. I wanted to work to end the gridlock in Congress and help get common-sense legislation passed that will benefit our small businesses and grow our economy.

I am Diné of the Todichiini Clan born for the Bilagaana on the Navajo Nation. I am an environmental professional with a degree in Earth Systems Science from Stanford University. As an Environmental Planner and a Civic Leader, I have a track record of working with Republicans and Democrats on key issues facing our communities. I’m all about building coalitions, not burning bridges. I have decades of experience working in both the public and private sectors on some of the most pressing environmental issues. I serve as Vice-Chair of the City of Phoenix Environmental Quality and Sustainability Commission and Chair of the City’s Urban Heat Island / Tree and Shade Subcommittee, helping to guide the City’s response to extreme weather and sustainability issues.

I excel at whatever I put my mind to. I was a successful National Hoopdancing champion, an experienced civic leader, and an advocate for protecting our environment. I sought to bring that dedication and leadership to Congress.

I am not done fighting for Arizona.
